General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Warehouseman for 2nd shift at the Groton shipyard. The role involves receiving, locating, and issuing material, with occasional 3rd shift coverage and 1st shift training for 8–12 weeks.

Work may occur in Groton, North Stonington, Norwich, and Plainfield in indoor or outdoor warehouses. Candidate must be comfortable with using handheld devices and tablets to support material systems, and should be able to operate a forklift, perform basic math, and

Competenze

High School Diploma, GED, or 2+ years of related technical experience.
5+ years previous warehousing experience or similar role receiving, locating and issuing material.
Must complete forklift training and obtain certification within first 90 days.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Mansioni

Support warehouse material systems for electronic receipts, picks, tracking and issuance.
Follow procedures and operate forklift machinery.
Access ITS, MRP II, EWP, ROMIS and related systems to update procedures and training.
Handle hazardous materials awareness and SDS requirements is a plus.
Work indoors and outdoors, with lifting and heights up to 40 feet when using a forklift.
