Job summary

Abacus Solution Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate in Charlotte, NC to help ensure inventory accuracy and safe, efficient warehouse operations. The role is contract-to-hire and pays $22 per hour plus overtime.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and storing shipments; picking and packing orders; operating forklifts (if certified); maintaining inventory records; and ensuring OSHA-compliant safety practices.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Unload, sort, label, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified).
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
• Verify shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory transactions.
• Load outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Report inventory discrepancies and operational issues to management.
