Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking an Order Selector in Byron Center, Michigan for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM start). The role involves selecting products from warehouse racks, assembling pallets, and using powered equipment, including forklifts as needed.

You must be able to work Sundays with mandatory overtime and lift/carry cases weighing up to 100 lbs, in multi-temperature areas. The position offers a $22.30 per hour wage, including a $1 shift premium, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior order selecting experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred.
• Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions).

Responsibilities

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
