Job summary

Ryerson is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Operator (SCOB) in the United States. The role involves day-to-day staging, packing and picking of material for shipments, using appropriate equipment and SAP work order confirmations.

You will join an apprenticeship program during onboarding and contribute to efficient shipping and receiving processes. Qualifications include passing a skills-based assessment, basic math and computer skills, plus 2+ years of similar experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection and measurement, attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.
• Successful candidates will enroll in a registered apprenticeship program on onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Packaging material to customer requirements.
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed.
• Completing paperwork and SAP work order confirmations for shipping/receiving.
• Maximizing productivity for finished goods creation.
• Other duties as assigned or as needed.
