Job summary

Ryerson is hiring a 2nd Shift Warehouse Operator (SCOC) in the United States. You will stage, pack, and pick material for shipments, using forklift and SAP work orders, to meet customer requirements.

This position offers apprenticeship onboarding and hands-on training in a fast-paced metals distribution environment. Candidates should have basic math and computer skills, read and follow instructions, and pass assessments.

Qualifications

• Assessment-based screening for reading, math, inspection, and problem-solving.
• Minimum 1 year of similar warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic math and basic computer skills required.
• Physical ability to meet vision, hearing, and mobility requirements.
• Onboarding includes enrollment in an apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Pick and stage feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Package material to customer requirements.
• Operate sit-down or side loader forklift.
• Complete SAP work orders for shipping/receiving.
• Maintain paperwork accuracy and productivity targets.
