Job summary

Ryerson is seeking a Warehouse Operator for the 2nd shift to handle staging, packing, and picking of materials for shipments. The role involves operating forklifts and using SAP for order confirmation, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

You will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship as part of onboarding and training. Strong attention to detail, basic math and computer skills are required, along with the ability to pass physical exams.

Qualifications

• Pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
• Minimum 1 year of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Must pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, mobility.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Packaging material to customer requirements.
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed.
• Complete shipping/receiving paperwork and SAP work orders.
• Maximize productivity for finished goods creation.
• All other duties as assigned.
