Job summary

Jobtailor in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, ensure quality standards, and supervise a team toward peak performance.

You will prepare schedules, coach staff, monitor work quality, uphold the GXO 7S program, and coordinate with leadership and other departments, while maintaining a clean environment and providing exceptional customer service; 2nd shift hours are 2:30pm–11:00pm with first-shift overtime during peak season.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Experience with computerized scanner equipment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including overtime, which may include weekends.
• Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to reach above the head, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel.
• Ability to handle or manage tools or equipment.
• Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
• 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment preferred.
• Warehousing or 3PL experience preferred.
• May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after conditional offer.

• Ensure efficient daily operations of the warehouse
• Prepare schedules
• Supervise the team and provide training and coaching to improve performance
• Monitor work quality to consistently deliver exceptional customer service
• Demonstrate understanding of the company quality policy
• Adhere to the GXO 7S program
• Communicate with leadership, team members and other departments
• Implement continuous improvement action plans
• Maintain a clean environment
• Work 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm
• Be available to work 1st shift during peak season (November-April)
