Job summary

Alleguard is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler in Portland, TN to support production and repack operations by moving products through the drying/curing process. The role involves physically demanding tasks, operating pallet jacks and forklifts, and recording movements on production sheets.

You will work Sunday through Thursday, 4 pm to 12 am, in a safety-conscious environment that emphasizes compliance with environmental and safety policies and a team-first culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical work in varied temperatures and humidity.
• Capability to push/pull using pallet jack or similar equipment.
• Ability to work in high-temp environments for short periods.

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine tasks and material needs.
• Record units moved on production sheets or tickets.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or label them with information.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area and follow safety policies.

Position: Warehouse Material Handler

Job Summary

Support the production and repack operations through the physical movement of products that are required to be processed through the drying/curing room.

Pay: $16 USD / HRLY

Schedule

Sunday - Thursday 4 pm - 12 am

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or using manual pallet jack, forklift, or other equipment as assigned.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area. Perform duties in compliance with all safety policies and practices.
• Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.
• Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
• Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
• Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.
• Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
• Other duties asassigned.

Qualifications

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
• Position requires the ability to push/pull objects using standard manual pallet jack or similar material handling equipment.
• Ability to perform duties in a high-temperature environment (150-170 degrees Fahrenheit) for short periods of time (typically less than 5 minutes).
• Such conditions can be encountered during the storage and retrieval of products from the heat-curing room.

Physical Demands

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
• Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
