Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a warehouse associate to support precise picking, packing, and shipping operations. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and timely processing of orders with attention to detail and quality checks.

You will utilize RF scanners and forklifts in a fast-paced distribution environment, ensuring accurate packing, labeling and documentation for outbound shipments. Overtime and shifts are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving or warehousing operations preferred.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accuracy.
• Comfort with standing for long periods and lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Places safety first.
• Follows all procedures and policies.
• Self corrects issues and reports to management when required.
• Ensures the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents.
• Understands and follows all company policies, procedures and objectives.
• Pick and verify item numbers on Sales Orders by U/M, lot number, bin location and quantity.
• Stage sales orders in designated area.
• Pack per standard operating procedures.
• Forward copies of Sales Orders to DTM III.
• Verify that outbound LTL shipments are 100% accurate and undamaged.
• Identify discrepancies and damages; correct shipments promptly.
• Meet customer shipping instructions and requirements.
• Stretch wrap and load LTL shipments on carrier trailers.
• Complete Trailer Manifest for each carrier.
• Ensure all Sales order and BOL documents are provided in a timely manner.
• Unload trailers and sea containers per SOPs, stock materials as required.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or wrapped skids.
• Post weights and shipping charges and affix postage as necessary.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Perform daily material handling equipment inspection and charge batteries as needed.
• Perform additional duties as directed.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
