Job summary

Central Home Brands in Sanford, NC is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our 2nd Shift Sunday to Thursday at our Sanford, NC location. This role focuses on picking, packing, palletizing, and loading finished goods in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This is a physically demanding role requiring lifting up to 50 lbs, cross training, and operation of equipment such as pallet jacks and reach trucks. Flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to do simple math – adding and subtracting.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must learn and understand the quality level involved in day-to-day tasks.
• Must be able to handle heavy workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to become certified and safely operate electric pallet jack, reach truck, shrink wrapper, and/or other required equipment if needed.
• Ability to learn and understand SAP/Scanner functions.
• Must wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous physical labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, reaching, and moving of heavy products.
• Cross train and take on other positions within the department and support other departments when needed.
• Communicate and understand directions.
• Perform duties with attention to detail.
• Learn and understand machine operating and safety procedures.
• Package, consolidate, wrap and load picked orders onto delivery trucks in correct order and balance.
• Maintain accuracy while consolidating or loading.
• Rotate positions between tasks in a timely manner.
• Multitask and prioritize work.
• Work closely with team members to foster teamwork and collaboration.
• Train new co-workers on the department or other areas as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Safety and Quality standards and procedures.
• Maintain a clean workplace to avoid hazards.
• Report mechanical problems and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
