Job summary

Martinrea International in Michigan seeks a team-oriented individual to safely move dies using overhead cranes and forklifts, and perform routine safety inspections. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related experience, plus strong communication in English.

You will keep dies clean and preserved, uphold 5S in the Tool Room, and comply with all company policies in a manufacturing plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely move dies using overhead cranes and forklifts as directed.
• Perform safety inspections on overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Keep dies clean and wrapped for weather preservation.
• Maintain 5S and organizational standards in the Tool Room.
• Adhere to all company policies including health, safety, quality and HR policies.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good communication skills and good knowledge of English language

Essential Functions:

• Safely move dies as directed utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform safety inspections of overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Keep dies clean by washing them as required and wrap of dies for preservation against weather.
• 5s and organization tasks in Tool Room.
• Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Tool Room Team Leader/ Supervisor
• Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

Work Environment:

• 100% Plant Floor (PPE Required)
