Job summary

Martinrea invites applications for a Tool & Die Maker position in Tupelo, MS. The role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Tool & Die Maker or related work repairing and modifying stamping dies, with hands-on knowledge of large transfer dies, deep draw dies, and welding fixtures.

You will read and follow work instructions while ensuring safety and quality compliance. The successful candidate should demonstrate tool & die knowledge in an interview and proficiency exercise, and will

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Tool & Die Maker or experience repairing and modifying stamping dies
• Experience with large transfer dies, deep draw dies, progressive dies, welding fixtures, and quality check fixtures
• Demonstrate tool & die knowledge through a job interview and proficiency exercise
• Ability to read and follow work instructions
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations using algebra and trigonometry
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to detailed but simple written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in different situations

Responsibilities

• Directs associates in daily work assignments
• Performs assignments that range in complexity from simple machine repair to troubleshooting tooling
• Ensures compliance with Federal/State/Local safety and environmental regulations
• Seek ways to reduce waste, manufacturing byproducts, and hazardous raw materials
• Competency Level 2 includes all intermediate understanding of the processes and interactions as determined by the leadership team
• As well as other duties as assigned

Effort/Physical Demands

• The employee is required to stand on his/her feet for long periods of time.
