Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions is seeking a 2nd shift Truss Assembler to construct wood trusses in a warehouse setting. You will read blueprints, measure and assemble lumber, and operate basic equipment to meet design specifications.

You must be able to lift 50–75 lbs, stand for long periods, and work as part of a team to hit production goals. Overtime may be available on the 2nd shift.

A Truss Assembler is responsible for constructing roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates. This role involves working with blueprints, operating machinery, and ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble wood trusses according to design specifications and blueprints
• Measure, cut, and position lumber accurately
• Use hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment (e.g., saws, nail guns, presses)
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures
• Work as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlines

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or construction drawings
• Experience with hand and power tools preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials (50–75lbs), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
• Basic math and measuring skills
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with truss assembly equipment and processes
• Forklift certification (a plus)
