Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in Diesel Mechanic or related field preferred.
• ASE Certification preferred; 608 Type 2 preferred; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read job orders, observe vehicles in operation to resolve malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
• Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and adjust as needed.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
• Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase their overall happiness.
• Complete all work according to safety requirements and published procedures.
• Maintain workspace in an organized and clean manner.
• Show courtesy to guests, visitors, and coworkers; adhere to labor operations and warranty documentation.
