Job summary

Heraeus Medevio in White Bear Lake, MN seeks a Toolmaker for 2nd shift to design, fabricate, assemble, and troubleshoot tooling for stamped components.

You will use precision measuring devices, set up CNC and manual tooling, collaborate with engineering, and maintain comprehensive tool-room records while keeping a safe, organized workspace. Training starts on 1st shift, transitioning to full 2nd shift after onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 2-year technical or apprenticeship training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks strongly preferred.
• Must be proficient in reading and writing in English.
• Must have ability to work standard hours set for the position.

Responsibilities

• Designs, assembles, and troubleshoots parts or tools required for production and testing.
• Uses precision measuring devices to fabricate parts, builds prototypes and tooling for production equipment per instructions and specifications.
• Sets up and operates CNC and Manual tool room equipment.
• Works with engineering and internal/external designers to improve final product and tooling.
• Maintains accurate, neat, and complete records for the tool room and inventory levels.
• Ensures tool room equipment and major shop equipment are maintained per procedures.
• Understands engineering objectives and design intent and provides feedback.
• Resolves tooling-related issues on the production floor.
• Participates in cross training and training of new hires; follows training program.
