Job summary

Viega Holding GmbH & Co. KG in McPherson, KS seeks a Tool and Die Maker to set up and operate CNC and manual machines, producing precision tooling for our machine shop.

You will translate blueprints and CAD/CAM data into high-quality tools and dies and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires 3+ years of experience, proficiency in 5-axis CNC machining, and strong attention to tolerances and quality.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tool and die/machining environment.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and CAD/CAM drawings.
• Experience programming/conversationally programming CNC machines including 5-axis.
• Ability to fixture and design methods for manufacturing complex parts.

Responsibilities

• Translate blueprints, sketches, specifications, and CAD/CAM files to production of precision tools and dies.
• Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces.
• Set up, operate, and conversationally program conventional, manual, and CNC machines.
• File, grind and adjust parts for proper fit and finish.
• Quality check tools and dies to meet specifications; polish surfaces.
