Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Willard, OH is seeking a motivated 2nd shift Tool & Die Apprentice to learn and contribute in our tooling and manufacturing environment. You will participate in apprenticeship activities, safety training, and hands-on work repairing and reconditioning dies and tools.

You will perform machine work on components for new tools, operate basic equipment, and help ensure quality while following ISO procedures. Growth and development are a key part of this role.

Qualifications

• State-approved Tool & Die Apprentice card or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Successfully pass the apprenticeship entry exam
• Must have a valid lift truck operator license or successfully complete lift truck training
• Furnish required tools
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic understanding of machining, stamping, fabrication, and assembly operations

Responsibilities

• Repair and recondition existing tools, fixtures, and dies as assigned
• Perform machine work on components for new tools, fixtures, and dies as required
• Operate lift trucks, cranes, welders, and other equipment to perform Tool Room duties
• Maintain quality and production standards following all ISO and company procedures
• Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Perform Tool Room tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Group Leader
