Job summary

SARSTEDT, INC. is seeking a Supply Room Assistant for the 2nd shift in Newton, NC. This full-time role supports daily operations by receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing materials while maintaining accurate inventory in a clean, safe supply room.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience or training, basic math, and solid written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with MS Excel/Word/Access and AS/400 is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 1–3 months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to complete basic written correspondence and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Basic math including percentages and ratios.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, and AS/400.
• Ability to identify and resolve routine problems using established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, store, and issue materials while maintaining accurate inventory.
• Inspect incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
• Distribute supplies and tools among production workers, keeping records of material issued.
• Move or transport material or supplies to other departments.
• Maintain inventory for machine parts, print labels, and supplies.
• Assist with monthly and yearly inspections of all fire extinguishers.
• Ensure the supply room is clean and organized.
• Other duties may be assigned as required by management.
