Job summary

Pelton Shepherd is seeking a hands-on Shift Supervisor to lead a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while maintaining schedules and solving production issues to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership, strong communication, and a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style to build a high-performance team across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead production employees while ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Monitor production metrics and maintain performance standards; resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Enforce EH&S policies and GMP/SOPs to ensure quality and safety.
• Coordinate resources and assist with packing, stacking, or operating equipment as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll lead production employees while ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Lead & Develop the Team

• Supervise and support production employees during assigned shifts
• Coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable for performance
• Build a strong team culture focused on safety, quality, and productivity

Drive Production Performance

• Monitor production metrics and maintain performance standards
• Help achieve operational efficiency targets
• Ensure production schedules and deadlines are met
• Quickly resolve production issues to minimize downtime

Maintain Safety & Quality Standards

• Enforce Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies
• Ensure compliance with GMP and company SOPs
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence

Support Operations When Needed

• Step in to assist with production tasks such as packing, stacking, or operating equipment
• Coordinate resources to keep production running smoothly

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a strong floor leader, not just a supervisor.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

• 3–-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive results on the production floor
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus
• A “roll-up-your-sleeves” leadership style

Education

Associate degree in Business, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent production leadership experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, and perform repetitive production tasks
