Job summary

Ameri-Force, Inc. is hiring Structural Welder (GMAW) for Oshkosh, WI. You will weld large military vehicle components, read complex drawings, and work in a team on long-term roles with potential direct hire by the client.

Initial training on 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) leads to 2nd shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM) with 40 hours weekly and overtime. Ameri-Force offers comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• GMAW/MIG welding certification or 3–5 years of equivalent structural welding experience.
• Ability to pass client structural weld certification (400 level) with AWS/ISO/MIL-STD testing as applicable.
• Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol knowledge.
• Comfortable with shop math and measuring tools including calipers, scales, squares, protractors.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus technical welding training.
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR.
• Willing to train on 1st shift and work 2nd shift long term.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tack and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials to the required procedures and codes.
• Read and work from complex drawings and weld symbols.
• Cut, grind, fit and bend parts to fit weldments.
• Weld large components as part of a team.
• Inspect and test your own welds to meet quality standards.
• Clean, deburr, rework and repair welds to code.
• Salvage and rebuild parts as directed.
