Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, TN is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Technician (VUH) to ensure accurate assembly of instrument trays, maintain high sterilization standards, and support OR and clinic needs.

You will supervise daily workflow, train staff, monitor quality assurance, and manage inventory while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. Certifications in sterile processing are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of relevant work experience in sterile processing.
• Certified/qualified in sterile processing preferred or required per role.

Responsibilities

• Assembles instrument trays and equipment for surgical and clinical procedures.
• Operates sterilization and HLD equipment per manufacturers' guidelines.
• Monitors inventory and ensures availability of instruments for OR and clinical areas.
• Trains and orients new staff; coordinates daily workflow with team members.
• Ensures quality assurance measures are documented and up to date.
