Job summary

Benjamin Steel Company is seeking a Warehouse position to perform a variety of warehousing duties aligned with our storage plan. The role includes verifying materials against receiving and shipping documents, and directing materials to correct locations while prioritizing safety.

Responsibilities include operating equipment to stage shipments, loading/unloading trucks, scanning paperwork, keeping the work area clean, and supporting colleagues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow safety procedures.

• Safely operate related machinery and equipment.

JOB TITLE: Warehouse
Position Summary
Performs a variety of warehousing duties, which requires an understanding of the Company's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials against receiving and shipping documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing material to prescribed storage locations by proper methods to protect material and employee safety; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damages; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate various equipment to stage, locate or process material for shipment.

Education And Experience
High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Ability to work as a team member without close supervision to meet Company and personal goals.
Capable of reading a tape measure, calipers, and orders.
Able to recognize different colors.
Good reading, writing and math skills as measured by a pre-employment test.
Ability to meet physical demands of position which are required 95% of the work day (i.e. lifting up to 50 lbs independently, pushing, pulling, standing, climbing).
