Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee receiving and shipping processes, verify goods against shipment records, and supervise recordkeeping for damaged items and discrepancies. You will coordinate with carriers, inspect operations, and ensure compliance with shipping specifications on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and in preparing items for shipment.
• Oversees shipping priorities and methods to meet schedules.
• Determines space requirements and routing for shipments to trucks or boxcars.
• Inspects loading operations for compliance with shipping specifications.
• Directs movement of shipments from platform to storage and work areas.
• Provides supervision, training, scheduling, and guidance to shipping personnel.
