Job summary

Dematic in Memphis, TN is seeking a Shipping Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead daily operations in our warehouse.

You will supervise rush/must ship orders, ensure shipping guidelines are followed, and train staff while upholding safety standards.

Candidates should have 5–8 years in a warehouse setting, strong team leadership, and proficiency with MS Office; SAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated ability managing a team of warehouse/shipping/receiving employees.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Ability to complete detailed oral and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and Excel; SAP experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily meetings to communicate goals and assignments.
• Supervise all rush/must ship orders and ensure shipping guidelines are met.
• Resolve discrepancies or potential issues promptly.
• Train staff and enforce safety measures per company standards.
• Follow outbound shipping requirements for customers and avoid delays.
• Communicate crating needs and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Maintain facility cleaning guidelines and daily monitoring.
• Assist in disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Monitor equipment and supplies; report non-compliance.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure safe, accurate storage.
• Be flexible and work overtime as needed.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
