Job summary

Dematic in Memphis, TN is seeking a Shipping Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead daily shipping operations in our facility. You will supervise a warehouse team, ensure timely outbound shipments, and enforce safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in a warehouse setting, experience managing a team, and proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Outlook, and SAP. A forklift certification is preferred. This role offers competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team of warehouse/shipping/receiving employees.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily meetings to communicate goals and assignments.
• Supervise rush/must-ship orders and ensure shipping guidelines are met.
• Resolve discrepancies or potential issues in a timely manner.
• Train and enforce safety measures per company standards.
• Follow outbound shipping requirements for customers and minimize delays.
• Communicate crating needs and ensure proper guidelines are followed.
• Maintain facility cleaning guidelines and monitor daily operations.
• Assist in disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Monitor facility equipment and supplies and report non-compliance.
• Maintain product stock within the facility and ensure safe locations.
• Be flexible and work overtime as needed.
• Take on other duties as assigned.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $68,625 - $100,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications

What You Will Do in This Role

• Maintain product stock within the facility, ensuring stock is safely and accurately located.
• Be flexible and work necessary overtime as needed.
• Effectively take on other duties as assigned/vital.

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years' experience working in a warehouse environment
• Demonstrated ability managing a team of warehouse/shipping/receiving employees
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. College Degree preferred.
• Ability to complete detailed oral and written instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and Excel required. SAP experience preferred.
• Forklift Certification preferred
