Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Americus, GA. You will support manufacturing by receiving, inspecting, and shipping materials, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.

Hours are 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with responsibilities spanning ERP data entry, inventory control, and coordination with carriers. The role requires 1+ year shipping/receiving experience, forklift certification (or willingness to obtain), and strong attention to detail in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) a plus.
• Ability to read technical paperwork, part numbers, and production documentation.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to [X] lbs and work on the production floor.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Time management in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Basic math and inventory control skills.
• Communication and teamwork across production, quality, and warehouse teams.
• Problem-solving and issue escalation.
• Manufacturing plant or production facility.
• Exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial equipment.
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required.

Responsibilities

• Receive raw materials, components, and supplies for manufacturing operations.
• Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, damage, and quality compliance.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing slips.
• Enter inventory transactions into ERP or inventory management systems.
• Stage materials for production and coordinate with production teams.
• Prepare and ship finished goods according to customer and carrier requirements.
• Package, label, and document shipments in compliance with company and customer standards.
• Coordinate freight pickups and deliveries with carriers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving areas.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment (if certified).
• Follow safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures (ISO, GMP, or similar, if applicable).
