Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation, Shelby County, Kentucky, is seeking a dependable warehouse team member to support manufacturing shipping and receiving operations on the 2nd shift. The role involves forklift movement, container prep, packaging, and accurate inventory handling.

You'll determine shipment methods, verify documents, maintain FIFO, and coach others in shipment prep. Salary is $23.00-$26.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential; shift is 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

Experience using computers, forklift/material handling, warehouse/inventory, shipping/receiving.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift license.
High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Assembles and/or repairs wooden or cardboard containers or selects reassembled containers.
Inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
Fastens covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal strapping.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments.
Records appropriate information relating to damage and part count discrepancies.
Routes items to departments.
Operates forklift truck or hand truck to load/unload shipments.
Instructs others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
Maintains FIFO and orderly warehouse spaces; conducts daily cycle counts.
