Job summary

Permobil, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Specialist for the 2nd shift in Lebanon, TN. The role involves processing, packaging, and preparing products for shipment, coordinating with Customer Service and carriers, and ensuring on-time departures to meet service levels.

The position includes a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Ideal candidates will have 6+ months shipping/receiving experience, proficiency in Excel and Outlook, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Common working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of common warehouse procedures (preferred).
• 6 months or more of Shipping and/or Receiving experience (preferred).
• Powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Process, package and prepare product to ship.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and carriers to ensure shipments leave on time to meet customers' needs and stay within service level.
• Build relationships with carriers to ensure timely pickups and loading/wait times and troubleshoot any OS&D claims or return issues.
• Prepare proper documentation for international shipments (commercial invoices, shipper's letter of intent, and other declarations) and create bookings in a timely manner.
• Keep track and report inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Provide tracking and other information to customer service.
• Prepare shipment of orders with quality packaging and loading.
• Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
• Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.
