Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking dependable Shipping Loaders for our Olive Branch, MS distribution center. You will load merchandise onto outbound trailers safely and efficiently, upholding productivity and safety standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in a warehouse setting, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and a strong team mindset to support overall DC operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience required.
• Experience with trailer loading or shipping preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Load merchandise from conveyors or pallets into outbound trailers, maximizing space while following procedures.
• Verify shipments are loaded to the correct trailer and are damage-free.
• Organize and stack freight to maximize trailer capacity and maintain space at trailer ends.
• Follow all safety policies to prevent injuries and damage.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a steady flow of merchandise and prevent downtime.
• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly productivity targets.
• Scan non-conveyable items as required and keep areas clean and organized.
• Assist with unloading, sorting, palletizing, replenishment, and other duties as needed.

Position: Shipping Loader Pay Rate: Starts at $18.50/Hour + differential pay Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 PM-4:30 AM

Position Summary Dollar Tree is seeking dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Shipping Loaders to join our Distribution Center team. This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently loading merchandise onto outbound trailers while following company safety procedures, maintaining productivity standards, and preventing damage to merchandise and equipment. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment and is committed to safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Trailer Loading: Safely and efficiently load merchandise from conveyors or pallets into outbound trailers, maximizing available trailer space while maintaining proper loading procedures.
• Freight Accuracy: Verify that merchandise is loaded onto the correct trailer, shipments are accurate, and products are free from damage.
• Space Management: Properly organize and stack freight to maximize trailer capacity, maintain required space at the end of trailers, and identify when overflow trailers are needed.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all Dollar Tree safety policies and procedures to prevent personal injuries, merchandise damage, and property damage.
• Teamwork & Efficiency: Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a steady flow of merchandise and prevent production downtime caused by overloaded conveyors or freight left on conveyor extenders.
• Productivity Standards: Consistently meet or exceed established daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and performance expectations.
• Merchandise Handling: Scan non-conveyable or non-diverted merchandise as required and ensure proper handling and placement of freight.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by performing general housekeeping duties.
• Operational Support: Assist with unloading, sorting, palletizing, replenishment, order selection, and other warehouse duties as needed.
• Flexibility: Adapt to changing assignments, operational priorities, and department needs to support overall Distribution Center efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of previous warehouse experience required.
• Previous trailer loading, shipping, or distribution center experience preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and move merchandise weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and continuously load boxes throughout shifts lasting 8 hours or longer.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and damage-free shipments.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines, work instructions, and established productivity standards.
• Dependable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to assist in other warehouse departments based on business needs.

Physical Demands & Work Environment Frequent lifting and handling of boxes weighing up to 70 lbs. Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive lifting. Continuous physical activity throughout shifts of 8+ hours. Work performed in a fast-paced distribution center and trailer loading environment. Must be able to maintain safe work practices while meeting productivity expectations.
