Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a 2nd shift Shipping Lead in Plymouth, IN to supervise shipping and receiving of finished goods, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure safety and quality standards. The role requires coordinating the Warehouse and Shipping teams to meet on-time deliveries.

Ideal candidates will have warehouse/shipping coordination experience, be flexible on shift hours, and pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Shipping & Receiving experience 1 year preferred.
• Must be flexible on shift (8–10 hours), Mon–Fri with on-call, overtime and weekend availability.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead Shipping & Receiving Team to complete all tasks.
• Execute daily shipping schedule to meet customer deliveries.
• Load LTL and TL shipments as scheduled.
• Maintain accurate finished goods inventory in the computer system.
• Unload and inspect incoming materials per receiving paperwork.
• Use FIFO for outgoing materials and locate received items in the warehouse.
• Safely operate forklift and roll clamp truck.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed timely and accurately.
• Maintain housekeeping per Golden Broom standards.
• Support SQF/AIB audits and ensure compliance.
• Communicate with supervision to avoid shift issues and coordinate with Freight lines.
