Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Service Shop Repair Technician in Palestine, TX (2nd Shift) to perform inspections and repairs on trailers, tractors, and shop equipment. You will document work, handle warranty processes, and contribute to DOT-compliant safety standards.

Key duties include diagnosing using technical tools, creating work orders, and ensuring repairs are completed right the first time. This role offers full-time hours with a competitive hourly wage and shift variety.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection certified per FMCSA regulations.
• Vehicle inspection certified per FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, consult as needed, and select repair solutions.
• Conduct minor diagnostics using technical/electronic equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, and minor HVAC.
• Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel samples and required paperwork.
• Identify warrantable repairs and complete accurate maintenance entries, warranty tags, parts retention, and warranty claims as per guidelines.
