Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Douglas, GA is seeking a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment in a fast-paced Walmart Transportation setting. The role requires a valid state driver's license and DOT-related inspections; experience with brake systems and DOT guidelines is helpful.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Keep Walmart Transportation moving by ensuring fleet is safe and road-ready.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment.
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, and select repair solutions.
• Repair/replace brake components, wheel seals, and tractor-trailer tires per DOT requirements.
• Communicate updates and complete required logs and documentation.
