Job summary

Walmart Distribution Center in New Braunfels, TX is seeking a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. The role involves performing inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs and replacements on Walmart equipment including trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and shop equipment, following DOT guidelines and internal standards.

You will create and process work orders, identify parts, and communicate with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance repairs and replacements following company guidelines for Walmart equipment.
• Creates and processes work orders, assesses repair needs, and identifies needed parts.
• Communicates with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing and documents work performed.
