Job summary

SMS InfoComm in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Server Repair Tech to test, diagnose, and replace parts on servers received for repair. You will inspect systems, run stress tests, document results, and collaborate with QC and motherboard teams to maintain quality.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1 year in a repair depot or similar setting, and ability to read/write English. You will work in a warehouse environment with physical tasks and moderate noise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in Repair Depot preferred.
• Experience in a low production PC-type environment preferred.
• Must read and write English.
• Experience with simple component replacements (LCD/HDD).
• Familiar with models such as ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Apple, Acer.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Temp Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and diagnose servers.
• Replace parts as needed.
• Conduct and analyze server stress tests.
• Document symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in shop floor tool.
• Collaborate with motherboard repair, motherboard testing, QC, and inspections personnel.
• Provide back up for QC, inspection, and motherboard testing.
• Maintain parts consumption.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
