Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation is seeking a Server Repair Technician to test, diagnose, and replace parts on servers sent for diagnostics and repair. The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, server testing, and coordination with QC and motherboard teams.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, English literacy, and comfort working in a warehouse-like environment. Preferences include a year in Repair Depot and familiarity with multiple PC brands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer 1 year experience in Repair Depot.
• Experience in a low production PC environment preferred.
• Must read and write English.
• Experience with LCD/HDD components across multiple brands.
• Knowledge of ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Apple, Acer models.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and diagnose servers.
• Replace parts as needed.
• Conduct and analyze server stress tests.
• Document symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in shop floor tool.
• Collaborate with motherboard repair, motherboard testing, QC, and inspections personnel.
• Provide back up for QC and motherboard testing.
• Maintain parts consumption.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
