Job summary

Inmar Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to provide a security presence at the warehouse facility and perform safety and security duties during operational hours.

The role includes meeting and observing visitors, monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and responding to alarms, with daily reporting and coordination with leadership and clients. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred; must be 21+ with excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Bi-Lingual preferred (English and Spanish).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively recognize, evaluate and use security-related tools and equipment.

Job description

Position Summary

The Security Officer works to provide a security presence in and around the warehouse facility and conducts applicable safety and security duties as assigned during operational hours.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Meet, escort, and observe visitors while they are in the facility.
  • Monitor facility access points at shift changes, break times, and lunch times.
  • Perform daily surveillance from the Security Monitoring Center; conduct routine patrols as assigned.
  • Look out for suspicious persons, vandalism or hazards; perform random and scheduled security and pocket checks as assigned.
  • Respond to alarms and distress calls.
  • Report incidents and infractions to Leadership and Human Resources.
  • Monitor and sign out destruction trucks.
  • Act as a witness on site for loading of trucks.
  • Accompany specified destruction trucks from the warehouse to the incinerator.
  • Act as a witness at the incinerator for specified trucks.
  • Prepare Daily Activity Reports.
  • Communicate with Leads, Supervisors, Managers, and Clients regarding security related issues, concerns, and matters.
  • Conduct yourself at all times in a professional manner.
  • Follow all safety and facility rules.
  • Wear issued and approved security uniforms at all times while on the job.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years 0-2 years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position required.
  • Bi-Lingual preferred (English and Spanish).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously, works efficiently, and meet deadlines in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively recognize, evaluate and use security-related tools and equipment.

Compensation and Pay

The hiring pay rate for this position is: $18.00.

In addition to base hourly pay, eligible employees in this role may receive: Safety bonuses based on meeting defined performance and compliance requirements.

Shift differentials, where applicable(e.g. for evening or late shifts).

The hourly rate offered at the time of hire will be communicated in the candidate’s offer letter.
