The Hotel Cleveland is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will perform protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner to handle emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and threats to life and property, maintaining a safe and secure environment.

• We are hiring for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions. Please indicate your preferred shift in the application questions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel and property to identify potential safety and security risks, and undesirable conditions.
• Respond to emergency situations including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property.
• Conduct preliminary investigations into incidents as needed.
• Prepare reports and ensure accurate documentation.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
• Monitor CCTV systems.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available to work on a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Security Guard, Police Officer, Loss Prevention Agent, or similar role.
• Previous hotel security experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and computers.
• Flexibility to work AM, PM, and overnight shifts.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
