Job Title: Security Officer

The Hotel Cleveland is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will perform protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner to handle emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and threats to life and property, ensuring a safe and secure environment.

*We are hiring for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions. Please indicate your preferred shift in the application questions.

This Marriott Autograph Collection property opened in 1918, with 491 newly renovated rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Essential Job Functions

• Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel and property to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Respond to emergency situations, including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life or property.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Conduct preliminary investigations into incidents as needed.
• Write reports and ensure accurate documentation.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
• Monitor CCTV systems.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available to work on a flexible schedule.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Security Guard, Police Officer, Loss Prevention Agent, or similar role.
• Previous hotel security experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and computers.
• Flexibility to work AM, PM, and overnight shifts.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
