The Hotel Cleveland is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will perform protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner, coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and threats to life and property to maintain a safe and secure environment.

*We are hiring for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions. Please indicate your preferred shift in the application questions.

This Marriott Autograph Collection property opened in 1918, has 491 newly renovated rooms, and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel and property to observe and identify potential safety and security risks and undesirable conditions.
• Respond to emergency situations including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property.
• Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents as needed.
• Write reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolving issues in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Monitor CCTV systems.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Security Guard, Police Officer, Loss Prevention Agent, or similar role.
• Previous hotel security guard experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and computers.
• Availability to work flexible schedules (AM, PM, and overnight shifts).
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
