Job summary

The DM Burr Group seeks a Full Time Custodian for the 2nd shift in the Montrose School District. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, $15.25 per hour.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors with scrubbers and buffers, emptying trash, stocking restrooms, and recording cleaning activities for supervision. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 0–6 months custodial experience preferred. A $200 hiring bonus is offered after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED or technical school certification.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• 0–6 months custodial/janitorial experience using floor scrubbers, buffers, stripping machines.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires the ability to read and follow label instructions on cleaning supplies.
• Ability to follow basic verbal & written instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Must have team aptitude and approach.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Use approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as auto floor scrubbers, burnishing buffers, stripping machines and vacuums.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and polish floors using industrial equipment.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• May remove stains from rugs, drapes, walls and floors using cleaners.
• General cleaning of furniture, window sills, walls and surfaces.
