Precision Pulley and Idler (PPI) in Humboldt, IA is seeking a Saw Operator for the 2nd shift to cut and prepare materials according to schedules and specifications. This full-time manufacturing role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You will read blueprints, set up tooling, measure using micrometers and calipers, and ensure parts meet tolerances.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and order specifications.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem-solving.
• Proficient math and measurement skills.
• Accurately use measuring devices (tape, micrometer, caliper, dial indicator).
• Produce material meeting company standards with minimal rework.
• Cooperate with coworkers and supervisors; accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, and tooling instructions.
• Cut materials to correct length per prints and specs.
• Ensure proper materials are used and verify receipts for inventory accuracy.
• Assist purchasing with out-of-stock items to expedite delivery.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tools and machines.
• Maintain area cleanliness and practice safe work procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and internal customers.
