2nd Shift, 4pm-12midnight w/ Friday & Sunday day OFF
Location: BERWICK, PA
As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for following the master cleaning schedule to ensure proper cleaning of the facility and equipment. You will also complete all associated paperwork in a timely manner, as well as maintaining and promoting cleanliness in all work areas.
You must have the ability to work overtime as needed.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness of the facility, grounds, and equipment
- Clean equipment according to master cleaning schedule and written procedures
- Complete daily cleaning assignments and associated paperwork in a timely manner
- Drive floor scrubbers and clean them afterwards
- Clear walkways and shovel snow (seasonal)
- Clean restrooms and mop floors
- Removal of all trash and other waste materials, including boxes, empty garbage and taking to dumpster areas
- Show respect for each other in the department
- Clean production equipment, removing parts as needed and putting the equipment back together for all production lines
- Comply with all GMP, Safety Procedures, Company Policies, Quality Policies, etc.
- May perform other duties as required

- Forklift
- Scissor lift
- Palette jack
- Floor scrubber
- Plow truck / Snow Blower
- Chemical dispenser / Foamer
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. frequently
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to work with chemicals
- Mobility and movements - frequent ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, climb, reach outwards and upwards, grasp and twist wrists
Education and Experience
Required
- General education
- Ability to follow verbal and written communication
- Must be able to work 6-7 days a week during an audit
- Must be able to work weekends
Preferred
- Prior sanitation experience in a food manufacturing facility
- High school diploma or GED
- Advanced schooling
