Job summary

RTE-Boxing Associates are responsible for preparing a variety of ready-to-eat meats for production by performing tasks such as un-netting, un-racking, and packaging products in an efficient, accurate, and safe manner. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet quality and production standards while supporting a clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment.

2nd shift hours are 2:25pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

  • Food safety knowledge and adherence to USDA/ GMP requirements.
  • Attention to detail to identify defects and ensure product quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ready-to-eat meats by un-netting, un-racking, and packaging as directed.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and PPE usage.
  • Support production goals by following schedules and company procedures.
  • Log trainings in Redzone and complete compliance trainings by deadlines.

Essential Functions
Food Safety and Quality
  • Uphold Frick’s Quality Meats’ commitment to the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and sanitation.
  • Follow established recipes, formulas, and standard work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and report quality issues immediately to department supervisor ensuring only top quality products are produced.
  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with all USDA and other regulatory requirements.
Safety and Compliance
  • Consistently follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Properly use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with OSHA and other workplace safety regulations.
  • Operate machinery safely and correctly as instructed.
Production and Efficiency
  • Maintain assigned positions on the production line and meet performance expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform basic equipment operation as trained.
  • Assist team in preparing product to specifications.
  • Responsible for independently logging into Redzone & completing compliance trainings by due dates & using chat feature.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals by following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of production schedule
  • Practice cost awareness by using materials efficiently and minimizing waste.

  • Communicate proactively with the Supervisor regarding issues that they might encounter
  • Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to production and food safety.

Requirements
  • Stand: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for entire shift
  • Walk: Needs to constantly move about inside the facilities to access machinery and move product through plant
  • Exposure to work: Constantly works in cool, 45-degree, and damp conditions. Frequent visits to areas that are 28-degrees Fahrenheit and occasionally in areas that are 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Constant exposure to loud noises and bright lighting and occasional exposure to flashing lighting.
  • Carry weight, lift: Frequently lifts production materials weighing up to 60 pounds overhead for various production needs
  • Twisting, turning and bending: Frequently moves production materials weighing up to 60 pounds around production facility
  • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Constantly operate machinery and other production equipment
  • Climb or balance: Frequently ascends/descends stairs and ladders to operate production machinery
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Constantly positions self to maintain production requirements and equipment
  • Talk/hear: Frequently communicates with co-workers and supervisor(s) regarding production requirements; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • See: Must be able to identify defects and inspect product for quality
  • Smell: Able to distinguish sweet and bitter flavors when creating varieties of product for customers.
