Job summary

Manitowoc Ice, a Division of Pentair, seeks a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician in Manitowoc, WI to support manufacturing operations through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in manufacturing and can work with robotics, PLCs, and CMMS in a fast-paced environment.

This role includes 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm), potential OT, and a compensation package featuring hourly pay between $32.00 and $38.00

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.
• Experience with robotic systems and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer literacy.
• Basic welding, machining, and fabrication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB) and automated equipment.
• Support integration of automation technologies including sensors, actuators, and PLCs.
• Perform diagnostics and calibration of robotic arms and vision systems.
• Install and maintain electrical panels, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
• Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; perform electrical safety checks per NEC/OSHA.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate and install custom fixtures and tooling to support production.
• Maintain building systems including HVAC, lighting, and compressed air.
• Respond to maintenance requests from office and non-manufacturing areas.
