Job summary

The Robot Operator will set up, operate, or tend welding and related equipment to produce quality parts. Responsibilities include safe operation, debugging, and adherence to 5S and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Valid forklift certification; onsite certification provided.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use calipers.
  • Set up machines for changeovers and make adjustments when issues arise.
  • Accurate measurement and math skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and attention to detail.
  • Maintain regular attendance and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines.
  • Produce parts to quality standards and perform quality checks.
  • Maintain a clean, safe 5S workplace and follow safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot machines and tooling; identify unsatisfactory parts.
  • Operate material handling devices and assist with load/unload as needed.
  • Work overtime as necessary.

Job Description

TheRobot Operator will set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines or robots that weld, braze, solder, or heat treat metal products, components, or assemblies. Includes workers who operate laser cutters or laser-beam machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner
  • Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers
  • Work overtime as necessary
  • Responsible to produce all parts to quality standards
  • Understand how to setup andoperaterod & wire str., automats, benders, from press, welders, frame handler, inline and trimmers
  • Learn how gages work in alignment with making quality parts
  • Learn how to adjust entron boxes
  • Learn how to operate and control pendants
  • Learn how to troubleshoot machines and tooling
  • Learn how toidentifyunsatisfactory tooling and components
  • Perform lock and tag outs on machines in accordance with safety standards
  • May berequiredto do own trucking andoperatematerial handling devices as needed
  • Required to produce to standard rate at a minimum
  • Must obtain andmaintainrequired tools
  • Must perform and document all required quality checks of parts produced
  • Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area per area 5S procedures
  • Will be assigned to other jobs when the machine is not running
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience requirements
  • ValidForklift Certification(we certify onsite)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and calipers
  • Demonstrate the ability to mechanically set up machines for changeovers and make appropriate adjustments when issues arise
  • Accurate measuring and math skills
  • Advanced knowledge of required measuring toolsMust have verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow directions accurately
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
General Requirements
  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.
Working Conditions
  • Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes and loud noises.
