James Hardie is seeking a Recycling Operator for the 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am, M-F) in Indianapolis, IN. Pay is $21/hr.

Responsibilities include operating production lines, safely using forklifts, maintaining logs, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while preserving equipment and materials.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform accurate calculations for weights (gross, tare, net).
• Proven attention to detail in logs and records.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Set up, run, shut down, troubleshoot and clean production lines.
• Understand, follow and apply Run Instruction Sheet (RIS).
• Safely operate a sit-down forklift and man lift.
• Maintain and complete production and quality logs (inbound, outbound, rejects, run).
• Complete Ready for Sale (RFS) tags.
• Record weights accurately (gross, tare, net).
• Take samples and report any inequities to lab personnel and supervisor.
• Keep packaging clean and assess condition of packaging materials.
• Update RIS and communicate shifts information to supervisor.
