aisincareers is seeking a maintenance technician to lead preventative maintenance and reduction of downtime in a manufacturing environment. The role covers electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic tasks and requires collaboration across departments.

  • Lead the reduction of unplanned downtime by conducting preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Perform scheduled repairs to minimize production interruptions and downtime.
  • Determine critical machines for downtime and perform risk assessments.
  • Follow a Predictive Maintenance schedule.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance as needed.
  • Repair and troubleshoot emergencies and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Train operators on basic maintenance procedures and ensure OSHA safety requirements.

Job description

SUMMARY

This position will provide technical support to manufacturing to ensure less downtime, greater efficiencies and provide Maintenance support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for leading the reduction of unplanned downtime by conducting preventative maintenance
  • on equipment and facilities.
  • Responsible for scheduled repairs to minimize production interruptions and equipment downtime.
  • Responsible for determining critical machines for downtime and risk assessment based on production and countermeasure.
  • Responsible for following a Predictive Maintenance schedule.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance and repair (mechanical and electrical).
  • Emergency equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for equipment and facilities electrical maintenance.
  • Responsible pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical maintenance on equipment.
  • Responsible for welding when required on equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain storeroom and spare parts inventory levels to prevent critical breakdown.
  • Responsible for Zero NG activity - track all NG's with follow up of countermeasures.
  • Develop and document training for manufacturing equipment and processes to ensure operators are properly trained on basic maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure plant and OSHA safety requirements, production utilization goals, and facilities support is met through proper maintenance planning.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure EPA compliance
  • Responsible for meeting department budget.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by the Supervisor or Management.

SALARY RANGE: $28.50/hr - $38.48/hour

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional heavy lifting.

Exposed to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including a fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.

Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing areas were under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses.

Open staff room with constant activity and interaction with cross-functional divisions, departments, and sections. Must be able to effectively change tasks at a moment's notice when the situation requires.
