Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is hiring for a Quality Technician in Mount Jackson, VA. Starting wage is $21.78/hr with potential up to $25.19/hr. The role focuses on reading drawings, QC audits, and ensuring compliance with KCMA and company specs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret product drawings.
  • Evaluate compliance with wood character, machining, assembly and finishing requirements and educate on same.
  • Complete quality audits of product and processes including Data Pak, Color control, etc.
  • Prepare reports on quality/scrap.
  • Gage Control.
  • Measurement and testing of product to KCMA and Company Specifications (Stain testing, Chemical test, Edge soak, etc)
  • Problem Solving.
  • Must be able to understand instructions and follow them.
  • Complete work with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of the Quality Management System to promote awareness and use by associates.
  • Perform tasks required for the success of the department.

  • Perform tasks required for the success of the department which extend beyond the department

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, climbing stairs and pulling
  • May be required to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs as well as push/pull carts and/or pallet jack
  • Hand dexterity and strength
  • Overtime is required, including weekends sometimes with little or no advance notice
  • May be required to work a flexible schedule
  • It is an essential function of this position that you report to work on a regular basis
