Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking a Quality Lead for the 2nd shift. The role starts at $24 per hour and includes medical, dental, vision benefits, 401(k), paid vacation/holidays, and onsite cafeteria.

The incumbent will perform QA testing on the plant floor, verify product and ingredient quality, ensure labels comply with regulatory requirements, and document findings. The position requires English proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced food

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing and/or quality preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Good math skills.
• Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Adaptable and dependable; follow directions.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to work independently or as a team and communicate findings with QA & Production Leads.

Responsibilities

• Conducts quality assurance testing and documents products and raw materials on the plant floor.
• Verifies in-process and finished product quality against specifications and temperature requirements.
• Verifies labels meet regulatory requirements including tare weights, UPC codes, legibility, establishment number, pricing and product identification.
• Inspects incoming ingredients for compliance with visual and temperature requirements.
• Investigates and determines causes of quality defects and communicates with production team.
• Leads a group of employees involved in inspection to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Maintains accurate quality records and reports.
• Trains new team members as needed.
• Performs detailed inspections, testing and documentation.
