Job summary

Employ-Temps is hiring a 2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician in Stow, Ohio to perform testing of materials and finished products, support calibration and maintenance, and ensure data integrity across ERP/LIMS systems.

The role requires experience in a lab or quality control setting, familiarity with HPLC/UV-Vis/IC, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment on the 2:00pm–10:30pm shift. On-site at Stow location.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field preferred or high school diploma with relevant experience
• 1–3+ years of laboratory or quality control experience preferred
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, pigments, or additives is a plus
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, UV-Vis, IC) preferred
• Knowledge of quality systems, SPC, and Lean principles
• Familiarity with ERP/LIMS systems (QT9, Acumatica, Empower, Chromeleon)
• Basic math and data analysis skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment, including rotating or extended shifts if required
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and move materials as needed
• Exposure to chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles
• Use of PPE required
• Visual ability to perform detailed analytical work

Responsibilities

• Provide samples for internal teams and customers as needed
• Assist with calibration and basic maintenance of lab equipment

• Follow and support company quality management systems and procedures
• Ensure proper documentation and data integrity within systems (ERP, LIMS, QT9, etc.)
• Ensure traceability and proper handling of non-conforming materials
• Collaborate with Production and Product Development teams to resolve issues

2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician

We are currently hiring for a 2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician position in Stow, Ohio. We’re looking for reliable candidates with quality control experience in a lab setting who are eager to support a growing specialty chemical manufacturer.

This company is committed to producing high-quality pigments and seeks a team member to help ensure products meet strict specifications. You’ll play a key role in testing, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, working on a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours
2:00pm – 10:30pm, Monday – Friday

Pay
$23.00 – $26.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products following established SOPs to ensure conformance to specifications.

• Provide samples for internal teams (e.g., Sales, R&D) and customers as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge of safety protocols in chemical labs.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Relevant college degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Laboratory experience in a manufacturing setting.
